Often in India, while traveling with Guruji, we would see a beggar come up to him. Guruji would put his hand in his pocket and give away any money he had, often with a tear in his eye. What is the depth of such love?
In those days, Guruji had no one to provide for him, but he still gave away whatever he had. If he saw someone shivering in
the cold, he would give away his blanket, which is all he had for protection. He may have been hungry, but if he was approached by another who also was hungry, Guruji would give that person any food or money he had, not worrying about his own
next meal. Why worry? He would say
to himself. Lord Rama can take care.
In all things Guruji is a great example of faith and love. We know from our own lives that as often as we call to him in our own times of distress, we receive
his immediate attention. What can be said of such a being?
Our challenge is to emulate his life in our own daily interactions, thereby, continuing his great work, the
welfare of all beings.
Guruji's Hospital and Free Medical Camps
Guruji's hospital reopened on January 3, 1998, his birth anniversary.
The outpatient department is now in service and minor surgeries are being performed.
The people in this region of India are unspeakably poor. Guruji
opened this hospital to provide free services to all, bringing some measure of hope to these beings.
Shri Anandi Ma continues Guruji's vision, and eye camps have
been performed for more than 100 persons with excellent results. It is sad, however, to see from the photograph that sometimes
the surgeries are performed under the light of a flashlight.
We thank you for your love, support, and donations,
and hope that it continues to bring the hospital to its full potential serving humanity and saving lives as Guruji wished.

Medical Camps
Shri Anandi Ma sponsors free medical camps at the Nikora ashram.
More than 850 patients came in December of 1998, who were treated and given free medication.
About 25 - 30 persons were found with cataract problems and
were taken by disciples to a local hospital for eye surgery, the expenses being covered by Dhyanyoga Centers, Inc.
We are all hopeful that Dhyanyoga Centers can support many more
of these humanitarian efforts in the future.
Pilgrimage around the Narmada
Receiving the darshan of the Narmada is like attending a Maha
puja and every place you look, there She is.
The Parikramana of this 800-mile-long river -- walking from
the mouth of the river on one side to the headwaters and back to the mouth of the river on the other -- is said to guarantee
liberation.
Pilgrims performing the Parikramana of the Narmada must put
their complete faith in God for their physical well-being. They may not carry any money. They spend their nights and receive
their meals from the ashrams that line the banks of the river, including Dhanyi Dham.
Your faithful and loving financial support will help continue
this ancient and well-respected tradition.
Guruji's Mahasamadhi Shrine
Guruji's Shrine in Nikora, India, is designed in the form of
the Shri Yantra, the representation of the Divine Mother. The petals will form the roof above Guruji's murti. The floor below
his murti will house a large meditation area and there will be small rooms for anusthan located along the outside edge, each
with a view of the Narmada.
The shrine being constructed is unique in the world and will
stand for many years as a testament to Guruji's faithful commitment of service to humanity and Shri Anandi Ma's undying loyalty
to continue his work on earth.
Dhanyi Dham, Our Ashram in Nikora
The dormitory was first used, in it's partially finished form,
to house disciples from the 1977 India Trip, while they performed their anusthan. It was completed in 2000 and now houses
16 rooms, each with an attached bath and a balcony with a view of the Narmada, as well as a meditation hall that holds several
hundred disciples.
The peaceful, bucolic setting of the ashram is deceptive--the
subtle energy there is overpowering. Shri Anandi Ma and Guruji's energy roar through the silence and serenity. According to
disciples, practices done at the ashram feel much more intense. The atmosphere is permeated with devotion and the power of the lineage.
Dhanyi Dham will support the spiritual evolution of international
spiritual seekers yearning for the direct experience of God for many years into the future.
Guruji's Work in the West -- Ashram Construction in California
When Guruji walked with us and talked with us, he gave us what
our hearts yearned for. He also gave us unique tools that would lead us toward the inner experience of a relationship with
God and with him--with our own higher self.
Guruji knew, too, that Anandi Ma would continue his work, and
she would need to create centers where we would pull the energies together and collect all those he referred to as his "stars."
From these centers our energies will emanate for our own well being and for the well being of others.
True to his infinite compassion and his desire to bring about
the welfare of all beings, Guruji set aside money his disciples gave him; and when the time came, he asked Anandi Ma to use
this money to begin building these centers for us.
The time is now here. We are Guruji's "stars," and he has chosen
us to continue his life-long mission to bring about the welfare of all beings, starting with the fulfillment of our own needs
and desires. Through the power of our past good actions, we have inherited this privilege and this responsibility to bring
into existence our meditation hall where we will unite under one roof, chant the liberating name of God, do practices and
prayers for the welfare of humanity. Here we will work together toward peace in the world, and grow into the loving family
Guruji envisioned for us.
In addition to the efforts mentioned here, day-to-day operating
expenses, the cost of offering programs and retreats throughout the world, and a multitude of other miscellaneous expenses,
Dhyanyoga Centers, Inc. -- through the power and grace of Shri Dhyanyogiji and his entire lineage -- seek to construct still
another ashram on the East Coast of the United States. It is hoped that Shri Anandi Ma and Shri Dileepji will unite the disciples
each day through meditation, prayer, and practice of the teachings Guruji set forth.
Please consider making a faithful pledge today. Your donation
in any amount is always necessary to bring Guruji's life work into practical reality. While considering your pledge contribution,
please keep in mind that Guruji's work continues through Shri Anandi Ma and Shri Dileepji each and every day. An ongoing,
monthly contribution from you may guarantee the continuation of Guruji's vision, "Welfare of all Beings."
