Vajra Panjar, which literally means, "Shield of the Thunderbolt" or "Shield of Diamond" is the name of a group of techniques and mantras given to mankind by the great rishi Vishramitra, who had received them during meditation from Lord Shiva. The power of these techniques is described in a stanza from the scriptures:

Patala-Bhutala-Vyoma Charinash Chadma-Charinaha Na Drastum Api Shaktaste Raksitham Ramanamabhih

"Negative or positive energies or spirits wandering openly or secretly underground, on the earth or in the sky, cannot even look at, let alone hurt, the person who is protected by the recital of the names of Lord Rama as in the composition named Vajra Panjar."

Vajar Panjara Namedam Yo Ramakavacam Smaret Avyahatajnaha Sarvatra Labhate Jaya-Mangalam

"The person who is armored with Vajra Panjar, the shield consisting of Rama's names, is victorious, successful, and blissful without any obstruction."

Vajra Panjar Shield of the Thunderbolt

In the Vajra Panjar (VP) retreats, Shri Anandi Ma and Shri Dileepji impart techniques that Guruji referred to as the "cream" of His spiritual practices that which he considers the most fruitful, the most beneficial, the most efficient in bringing the disciple to enlightenment.

After having received Shaktipat, disciples wanted to spend more time in the presence of Guruji and continue to take pleasure in the silent flow of joy emanating from his being. Guruji, whose heart was filled with compassion, broke from the traditional way of disseminating the knowledge and made it available to all that he initiated.  He designed a series of retreats, VPI, VPII, VPIII, and VP Advanced/Applied in which he taught his disciples the profound wisdom of the East. Some of these techniques he had received from secluded yogis dwelling in Himalayan caves.

The saints have protected this ancient, sacred lineage of Kundalini Yoga.  And it is a rare gift to receive these teachings.  Shri Anandi Ma now follows the format Guruji put into place to transmit the energy of these teachings. A variety of instructions from healing techniques to unorthodox breathing techniques to safe astral travel are carefully imparted from Guru to disciple.  Each retreat builds upon the techniques practiced in the previous retreat, culminating in the Vajra Panjar Applied retreat.  The VP Applied is a weeklong anusthan designed to apply the teachings for the protection of the individual and the benefit and welfare of others.

Vajra Panjar I -- The Healing Techniques --

Prerequisite: Shaktipat from Shri Dhyanyogiji, Shri Anandi Ma, or Shri Dileepji

A powerful two-and-a-half-day retreat.  Disciples benefit by learning specific healing techniques as taught by the yogis for thousands of years and handed down through Guruji. Also taught are specific hatha yoga asanas, (postures) tratak, (gazing techniques), mudra (hand movements), pranayama, (breathing exercises to control the pran or life force) purification techniques, sankalpa (prayers of intent), and meditation.

At this retreat Anandi Ma initiates the disciple into the Hanuman Chalisa and other powerful mantras to enhance the practitioner's direct experiences of meditation. Opportunity is given during satsang (informal discussion with Anandi Ma and Bapuji) to clarify the disciple's understanding of correct pronunciation and observations practiced in this tradition.

Vajra Panjar II Retreat -- The Ram Raksha Stotram --

Prerequisite: Vajar Panjar I

A two-and-a-half-day retreat that deepens the disciple's experiences taught in the previous VPI retreat. Shri Anandi Ma and Shri Dileepji help purify and intensify the disciple's progress by transmitting powerful mantras of purification. Sankalp techniques are expanded and intensified. Anandi Ma and Bapuji initiate the disciple into the Ram Raksha Stotram. This stotram is recited by the disciple for protection and the disciples realizes immense joy and strength through its recitation.

Vajra Panjar III Retreat -- The Ram Raksha Stotram with Bij Mantras --

Prerequisite: Vajar Panjar II

In this three-day retreat, bij mantras are added to the Ram Raksha Stotram, giving the disciple a deeper relationship to the stotram and preparing him to receive the Advanced Mantras, which were given by Lord Ram himself.  Disciples learn other forms of asana, pranayam, and tratak, as well as safe astral travel, and opportunity is given to clarify the disciple's understanding of correct pronunciation and observations.

The Vajra Panjar Advanced Retreat -- Ram Raksha Stotram with Advanced Bij Mantras --

Prerequisite: VPIII

A single day of intense training. Shri Anandi Ma and Shri Dileepji follow this lineage's tradition and initiate disciples with bij mantras that Lord Ram himself gave when he walked the Earth. These bij mantras deeply enhance the powerful effects of the recitation of the Ram Raksha Stotram. Disciples who practice the recitation of these bij mantras in conjunction with the Ram Raksha Stotram realize an ever increasing joy in relationship to his daily relationships, a sweeter connection between himself and the Guru, and an increasing expansion of consciousness in his meditations.

Anandi Ma and Dileepji initiate the disciple with other new mantras at the VPIII retreat. Asanas are taught in conjunction with mantra. Here the Bhut Shuddhi pranayam technique is taught--a technique that is unique in the world. Another tratak technique is experienced and satsang is offered to clarify the disciple's understanding.

The Vajra Panjar Applied Retreat

Prerequisite: Vajra Panjar Advanced

An anusthan of five or nine days where the recitation of the Ram Raksha Stotram with the Advanced Bij mantras is applied for the benefit of the disciple's spiritual growth as well as the welfare of all beings.

The welfare of all beings was Guruji's and is Shri Anandi Ma and Shri Dileepji's purpose for living. People from all over the world and from every walk of life attend this anusthan. The Guru-disciple relationship is profoundly enhanced through participation at the VP Applied retreat and here the disciple basks in the grace of the Lord and the Guru continuously.

The Trailokya Retreat

Prerequisite: Participation in at least five Vajar Panjar Applied Retreats

The Trailokya mantras is a tantric practice and extremely rare. There are no other Gurus known in the world today who initiate disciples with this mantra. Its repetition brings about far-reaching protection for the disciple and the world around him. This retreat is designed for the sincere seeker committed to the path of Kundalini Maha Yoga and to the Guru, Shri Anandi Ma. It is the last set of mantras to be given by Shri Anandi Ma and Shri Dileepji in a group situation.

Depending on the needs of the disciples, special events such as a Fire Ceremony or puja may be performed.

At this retreat Shri Anandi Ma offers the disciple a one-to-one Guru disciple relationship.
